With over 40 years in the industry, Founding Partner, Steve San Filippo, has accumulated significant experience in assisting clients with various accounting needs as well as advising clients on investment strategy and wealth management. Steve has worked extensively with clients in construction, real estate, technology, venture capital, professional services and high-net-worth individuals.
In the business environment, Steve specializes in process improvement methods and formulating new operation techniques to increase efficiency and improve profitability and risk management. He takes into consideration strategic and operational planning and implementation, efficient use of automation, slotting personnel to the appropriate work, cash flow analysis and exit strategy planning. Steve is an expert in implementing actionable solutions that maximize financial income while minimizing taxes. All of this experience enhances his keen ability to provide SSF Financial Advisers’ clients with thoughtful, thorough investment strategies and advisory service. He understands advisory client concerns focused on balancing risk tolerance against a reasonable rate of return to meet their individual family goals.
Steve received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of San Francisco in 1973. He is a licensed CPA in the State of California and holds a Series 65 Investment Advisor license. Outside of work, Steve serves as Vice Chair of Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, a Dignity Health hospital, Chair of the Finance Committee at Junipero Serra High School as well as served as the past Chair of the Board for the Sequoia Hospital Foundation. Formerly, he was a Planning Commissioner for the City of San Carlos and a member of the Board of Directors at Notre Dame High School in Belmont. In his free time he enjoys cooking, golf and spending time with his family.
